Terms

Our business thrives on referrals and positive reviews from satisfied customers, and we’ll make every reasonable effort to ensure you’re happy with the results of our tuning. We want to be sure these terms are easy to understand, and don’t seem too daunting. We’d really like it if each one of you took the time to read these through and understand the relationship we’re getting into with tuning your vehicle. It’s a mutual contract to make your vehicle fun to drive again. Like the very first time.

Throughout the tuning process, we’re going to push the boundaries of what your vehicle is capable of in terms of performance. Modifying vehicles is risky business and may reach the mechanical limits of your engine, and vehicle as a whole. Through careful tuning approaches and respecting known limits, we can keep it as safe as we can, unlock the true performance and reduce the chance of detriment to longevity and durability.

Ultimately, as the owner you’re responsible for the mechanical condition of your vehicle, determining if the condition is suitable for performance gains through tuning, and ensuring regular and preventative maintenance is kept up to date. It’s important to know that all risks, liabilities and responsibilities related to the tuning process belong to yourself as the owner, and buyer of our tuning services.

Because we, DRTuned Racing Ltd. and our employees, don’t maintain your vehicle, we can’t guarantee or otherwise warranty that your vehicle is capable of producing performance gains, and withstanding the stress and strain incurred through the tuning process. While damage and component failure is extremely rare, we want to be sure you know it’s a risk, and as the owner it’s up to you to be certain your vehicle is up to the task and that DRTuned Racing Ltd. isn’t responsible for any damages, failures, or repairs to your vehicle.
Sometimes stuff just breaks, and it may not feel like coincidence, but the windshield wipers failing after you flashed a tuning file really truly isn’t related to the tune. I promise. And please, plug your battery in when you perform the flashing. It’s listed in the instructions, and I really can’t help you out if you let the battery run dead during the download.

As part of this responsibility, repairs and replacement of components may be necessary as damage is discovered through the tuning process. Engine/transmission mounts, O2 sensors, exhaust hangers, spark plugs, etc are common examples of things that require replacement, and are often discovered with the initial datalogs of the tuning process. In the event we run into issues that cannot be resolved through the tuning process, and we recommend switching back to the OEM file, we will gladly continue tuning once the issue has been resolved within a reasonable timeframe, but can’t otherwise provide any refund or returns for the service.

If something catastrophic does happen, DRTuned Racing Ltd. cannot be held liable. We can keep the chances of this happening pretty low if we work together throughout the tune, and adhere to whatever limitations, restrictions, and advice we provide.

We offer our tuning services worldwide, including all 50 States in the USA. As a result, we can’t keep track of each jurisdiction’s SMOG testing requirements or restrictions, speed limit enforcement, or any other local laws. It’s your responsibility to ensure you adhere to all local laws throughout the tuning process. DRTuned Racing Ltd. isn’t responsible for any traffic violations, emissions testing, or personal injury that may arise during your usage of your vehicle. As the driver, you’re solely in control of the vehicle and its operation on the road.

It’s also important to check the details of your warranty, and understand that some of the parts and services we provide and recommend may void your vehicle’s warranty. The odds of this happening with a tune are fairly slim, the ECU can be flashed back to OEM at any time under normal operation, and is otherwise not something a dealership can definitively check. We don’t endorse lying, but aftermarket parts have generally not been an issue for typical warranty matters.

With respect to refunds, we’re fairly limited with what we can offer on our products. As a result, we can’t provide any refunds without express communication and agreement on a case by case basis. We want you to be satisfied with the tuning process, but we can’t provide a refund for changing your mind or other reasons within your control as the buyer. If you have questions about the tune, the process, or any of the included revisions and time limits, please feel free to reach out so we can be sure to help you make the best informed choice about the tuning services that we offer.

We do have time limits on our tuning kits, but we think they’re pretty reasonable to complete the tune within. Our goal is to ensure we can deliver quality services in a timely manner, which means focusing on getting your tune fully completed today, instead of spending time with a vehicle that’s been MIA for a year and has a whole bunch of new issues due to lack of maintenance in that timespan.
As long as progress is being made, and no long gaps have occurred, we’re really flexible about the times and want to get your tune completed. If something comes up, just let us know ahead of time and we’ll put things on hold. Real life happens.
If for whatever reason we don’t make any progress or communication, issues arise that aren’t solved, setup changes, or other delays outside our control, there may be additional cost to reset your time limit and continue. We’d really rather just keep current with your progress, get repairs done right away when they pop up, and get your tune complete in a reasonable time.

Due to the nature of software and electronics, we can’t provide any refund for software that has been registered, and any refunds for electronic hardware that has been opened from our original shipment packaging. Your safety is one of our biggest priorities, and if we were to accept returned electronics, we would be putting YOU at risk of a potential computer virus, malware, or malicious content placed by someone on purpose. Because we offer our tuning kits at the best affordable prices, we can’t afford to simply throw these cables away, and creating an isolated system to sanitize returned cables just isn’t in the scope of what we can do. It sucks, we wish stuff like this wasn’t a risk, but it is, and this is the best way we can protect you.
For any refunds that we are able to accommodate, there will be a 15% fee on the value of that return, and you’ll need to cover the costs of the return (shipping, taxes, duty, brokerage, etc).

By purchasing any of the products or services we offer at DRTuned Racing Ltd, you acknowledge and agree to everything we’ve discussed here, and as part of getting back some Zoom Zoom, you’ve chosen to waive all rights to subrogation, recourse, and any legal action against DRTuned Racing Ltd., its employees, Directors, and Officers. These terms are subject to change, and your agreement is inclusive of any changes that may be applied after your date of purchase.
